Whatever it is, telling your story in a supportive and uplifting community can make all the difference.

We expand creative industry access for marginalized communities through nonprofit publishing, free restorative justice workshops, and storytelling empowerment.

Our Services

  • We provide resources and support for creatives to publish their own work in various written and artistic mediums, empowering the creative to focus on producing their work

  • Restorative Justice-based

    Creative workshops that promote healing, reflection, and storytelling through restorative justice practices, led by our collective members.

  • We actively engage with underserved communities by providing free creative opportunities, in-person events, and remote engagement to amplify their voices and foster social change

  • We support both individual and group creative projects, offering opportunities for members and external organizations to work together.

ABOUT
ANTOINETTE

Antoinette, a San Francisco native, moved to the East Bay in September 2024 to complete her final semester of college. Frustrated by the barriers in the publishing and art industries—often requiring capital investment or pre-existing connections—she founded an at-home self-publishing press to empower people to take control of their narratives. Yazzabear Self-Publishing Press was created with the belief that everyone has a story to tell and wisdom to share.

Our mission is to amplify underrepresented voices and empower marginalized communities to take an active role in creative spaces. Every story and experience holds a valuable lesson, and by sharing them, we can strengthen our community and grow as individuals.
